Preparing for a school meeting
Progress over perfection.
A few notes can make a meeting less overwhelming. You do not need to cover every concern in a single conversation.
Try it together
- List your top two concerns with examples and your child’s strengths.
- Choose three questions about learning, wellbeing and support. Bring your child’s perspective where appropriate.
- Write down agreed actions, who is responsible and when you will check in. Ask for clarification if language is unfamiliar.
Words you could use
“Could we agree on one adjustment to try and check back in two weeks?”
One manageable next step
Fill in the meeting preparation sheet before your appointment.
