Practising kindness and problem-solving

Progress over perfection.

A small everyday problem can become a cooperative game. The aim is trying ideas, not finding a single perfect answer.

Try it together

  1. Invent a safe challenge such as two toys wanting one chair or a bridge needing repair.
  2. Ask for two possible solutions and try each without judging the first attempt.
  3. Notice listening, sharing an idea and changing a plan. Link it to a real situation only if your child is interested.

Words you could use

“That idea didn’t hold yet. What could our team change for the next try?”

One manageable next step

Build something together and name one teamwork moment.

Educational support only — not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Adapt to your child’s skills and supervise activities. If difficulties are persistent, intense or unsafe, seek qualified support. In an emergency call your local emergency number (000 in Australia).
